Contemporary dance is highly expressive with strong story telling narratives.
What to expect in your lesson
We work on routines that tell a story using an array of choreographic devices such as weight-bearing, lifts and floor work.
Following the warm-up we look at how different movements are executed as we build up our routine.
Contemporary Classes
We currently run classes in Contemporary for children between the ages of 8 & 18.
Curriculum Dance
Contemporary is particularly recommended for students studying GCSE, A-Level or BTEC Dance.
